How can Realtors add personal properties to their website?

The Personal Properties feature allows you to manually manage your own list of properties, as opposed to relying on the automated MLS listings feature. There are several advantages to manually managing your own property list, including promoting pocket listings that are not listed on the MLS, providing exclusive content (photos, videos, documents, etc), and creating a solid portfolio of your past achievements (since many MLS don't provide Sold properties in their stream).

Create a Property List Page

  1. Go to the Properties Section: on your Admin home page (or the expandable "Tool Dock") click on the big icon that says "Properties".
  2. Create a Properties Landing Page: in the Admin Sidebar click the "Categories" link and on the Categories page above the list area click the big "Add" button to add a new record.
    • On the Edit page enter a category name (this will be the page name e.g. "Exclusive Properties").
    • Select Nested Order if you want to create nested categories. This is useful if you want one main page called "Exclusive Properties" and then you want subcategories for "Active", "Pending", "Sold". If you link directly to a "Sold" page it will only show the properties assigned to that page (the sold properties). But if you link to the "Exclusive Properties" page, it will display all the properties that are assigned to any of its children categories, so it will show properties assigned to itself and assigned to the "Active", "Pending", and "Sold" category. This can be useful in some situations.
    • Edit the Display Preferences if you want to modify the sort order and the number of properties to display on each page at one time.
    • Under the "Menu" tab on the Edit page, choose where you want this "Exclusives Properties" page to show up in your menu, and give the link a name.
    • When you are done, Click "Create". Now you will have a page that will display all the properties you create. The next step is to create the actual properties.

NOTE: Categories are like section home pages that display all the related records that are assigned to that category. In this case, a Property Category page shows all the properties assigned to that category or nested subcategories.

Create a New Property

  1. Go to the Properties Section: on your Admin home page (or the expandable "Tool Dock") click on the big icon that says "Properties".
  2. Create Individual Properties: in the Admin Sidebar click the "Personal Properties" link and above the list area click the big "Add" button to create a new record. Fill out the requested fields for the property, e.g. "Property Status", "Property Class", "Address", etc.
    • Choose one or more categories you just created (e.g. "Exclusive Properties").
    • We recommend you give your property a friendly URL that is most likely based on the property address.
    • Select images for the home (find in your Image Library, or easily upload new images to your site).
    • Under the "Extras" tab you can add open house information, List, Pending and Sold Dates, mark whether you represented the buyer or the seller, add virtual tour urls, etc.
    • Under the "Advanced" tab you can select Multimedia options (upload videos), control Map preferences, assign the property to one of your offices, etc. In some cases you may want to restrict access to exclusive properties, and/or require visitors to have an account and agree to terms of service before accessing the property (useful if you need to control who sees the property information).
  3. Repeat this process if you have multiple properties that you need to add.
